People in the Battlefords and surrounding area will soon no longer need to travel to Saskatoon or Lloydminster for Winners, as the retail giant is set to open a 22,747-square-foot store in North Battleford on Sept. 27.
The Frontier Centre location at 11429 Railway Ave. E. is scheduled to open at 9 a.m.
The store will carry clothing, accessories, beauty products and home décor. Winners said its fall inventory will include new-season fashion, last-minute back-to-school items and seasonal products for the home.
“Our new North Battleford store brings that experience closer to home, with an ever-changing selection of brand-name finds and new discoveries to uncover with every visit,” Jordan White, spokesperson for Winners said in a statement issued Sept. 8.
Winners operates more than 300 stores across Canada and is one of the Canadian retail banners operated by TJX Companies Inc., along with HomeSense and Marshalls.
TJX describes Winners as an off-price retailer offering a changing assortment of brand-name and designer merchandise. The company said its prices are generally 20 to 60 per cent below the regular prices charged by full-price retailers for comparable products.
