Battlefords RCMP are investigating an overnight assault and robbery that occurred in North Battleford.
At about 3:50 a.m. on May 25, Battlefords RCMP received a report about the incident near the intersection of Battleford Road and Railway Avenue.
Officers determined that an altercation had occurred between a group of people, during which an adult man was assaulted and his truck was stolen. He reported non-life-threatening injuries to police and was taken to hospital by EMS for further assessment.
A short time later, RCMP located the stolen truck. A female occupant of the truck was arrested at the scene and later released from police custody without charge.
Battlefords RCMP continues to investigate. Officers are asking anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Battleford Road and Railway Avenue area early on May 25 to report it to police by calling 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
