Multiple local agencies gathered to take part in a mock critical incident at the North Battleford Fire Department training grounds Thursday morning. The mock exercise is necessary to be completed every four years to maintain the regional airport’s Transport Canada certification requirements.
(City of North Battleford)Regional Airport staff, City of North Battleford Operations staff, the North Battleford Fire Department, WPD Ambulance, Battlefords RCMP, and City of North Battleford Community Safety Officers all attended the exercise.
(City of North Battleford)The incident was staged with a downed small aircraft and multiple mock casualties. Volunteers from the North Battleford Comprehensive High School Drama Club were invited to help with the staging.
All participants joined in a post-exercise debrief which will help identify any challenges with the current process.
